Cacay, also known as Inchi or Tacay, is a tree native to the Amazon and the Colombian Orinoquia, which is also found in the Foothills of the Eastern Cordillera, from Putumayo to Arauca, and throughout the department of Amazonas. Its fruit is a nut rich in proteins, fatty acids and vitamins.
